the three most important things about Land of the Heavans

Summer

Congratulations to LOTH for a new layout! Oh, and congratulations to our first winners for the "best of the best". As usual pony is claiming that the layout is "a work in progress", and promises to do a great job for when it is finally done, with the quote "I have big plans for LOTH". She also asks for everyone to comment somewhere in the c-box, and to please give suggestions for the side bar, as she also wishes for it to be as long as the forum "for the purpose of aesthetics". The best of the best is an open awards system. If anyone wishes to nominate for a category, please PM the admin, and the entrant will be judged. Please do not nominate yourself!

the ice of winter has arrived

And on time this time!
Winter in the Land of the Heavans is an unusual affair. The eucalyptus trees are ones that have never chosen to loose their leaves, no matter how cold the season. And, as these amazing plants dominate the landscape, Land of the Heavans has become a stunning sea of snow and leaves. Winds are common in winter, sometimes whipping up blizzards so strong that it is impossible to see one's own feet. Only the valleys of the mountains remain unchanged, and the valley of the night is devoid of harsh winds. a new month has arrived, and with it, it is Summer!
Beaware of fires, long grass and snakes. The herd of the sun is now (generally) a stronger and more dangerous herd, although the strength has not enlightened them in any way!
beware the herd of the sun!

Pony has gone crazy... again.
as a result, she has spent her time improving the site, you will now find a word count, and functioning "money" to play with - however the rewards are not cheap!
and... the new layout! thankyou to inthename-stock@deviantart.com for the background, which has been slightly modified to suit. If anyone has more ideas for the improvement of the site, do not hesitate to PM the admin.

In the tales of old, there once was a land. A land of legend, it was said, that was a table cloth upon a table; so high that it was part of the heavens themselves. Protecting the land were treacherous cliffs, steep inclines and tor upon rocky tor. Select few actually knew of the safe paths into the land, and those that found their way, were considered to be blessed by fate herself.

The land itself was one of beauty mystery and magic, filled with creatures and plants as old as the very land they walked upon. The mere sight of life in this land would have startled most old worlders, for it contained creatures like none other.

Mare
Coat of buckskin tobiano
Eyes of warm, honeyed brown

Caoimhe is a fairly sweet-hearted, soft-spoken mare, who is constantly at a loss for words, and has a bit of a stutter. However, she is quite stubborn and spirited, and will only be pushed to a certain point, like a true Neptunian... she simply doesn't show it very often. She is far less reclusive and independent than many in her herd, but can still be aloof sometimes.

History: Caoimhe was born to a rather low-ranking, pitied, and widowed mare in the herd of Neptune. She had a rather miserable early life... it was clear that she was to grow up to be a low-ranking, pitiful Neptune mare just like her mother. And, even worse, she had short, little legs... at least her mother fit the standard Neptunian physical type. Thus, none of the other foals her age bothered to associate too much with her... they weren't outrightly cruel, simply a bit aloof. That was, other than Juno.

Juno was one of the only fillies who talked to her simply to talk to her, not out of pity. And that truly made Juno a goddess in the little mare's eyes. Whenever Juno announced she was going to leave, Caoimhe knew how painful life was going to be without her one and only friend... and decided it would simply be better to go with her. Since then, Caoimhe and Juno have joined Madame's small family for some extra protection, and Caoimhe has always met another friend, an even better friend than Juno... the gentle Peu de Beaute. By now, she considers Madame Chanceuse as much her mother as her Neptunian one.

The Rules of the C-Box

Simple really: Use your name, and no other. Do not abuse others. Do not swear or use profane language. Ignore pony's tyop's. Otherwise, enjoy!
